ABOUT CHRIS DEREK

Chris Derek is a non-binary singer/songwriter and fashion model from Indonesia. They were born in Bogor, West Java, at December 25th 1997. Chris Derek has been pushing the boundaries and testing their limits since a very young age. They started their music career in 2007 as a vocalist of a Pop/Rock band called Alphakids. It was a professional band contained with 5 talented kids and they had one studio album released in 2009. A few years later, after going through some phases in life, Chris Derek finally rebooted their music persona as a solo musician with a massive transition in terms of musical genre. On May 2016, Chris Derek released their self-produced, debut single, Petrichor. A year later, they released a follow-up single titled Civet. After finishing college while also pursuing a modeling career, working on a company and creating contents on social media, Chris Derek finally decided go back to music and this time with stronger concept and a brand new visions and aesthetics. In October 2022, Chris Derek was signed with New Sound Generation, a digital music label founded by an AMI Awards nominee music producer, Nutyas Surya Gumilang (NSG). With this brand new opportunity, Chris Derek also wants to share an important message through their music, “My dream is to create a safe space for fabulous people like me to be who they truly are because I struggled to find appropriate figures in my journey of finding oneself.”. Nutyas Surya Gumilang (NSG) is an AMI Awards nominee music producer, songwriter, performer with around 3,5M total music streams and approximately 1,1M listeners in Spotify. He is also a Founder/CEO of a digital independent label which based in Indonesia named New Sound Generation (previously known as NSG Music Recordings). ABOUT RETRO CACTUS

Retro Cactus or Lisa Walean is a Producer/Singer/Songwriter who started making music in 2013 with her tiny computer. She grew up in her home town Tomohon and actively doing competitions like Singing, Songwriting, traditional music, and many more. Singing was the whole thing that brings her to the producing world. The limited facilities and community were the triggers for her to keep learning and working on her music with whatever source she has. She also has a big intention of doing live looping performances. Her first live looping performance on YouTube has gained quite a lot of viewers and now she keeps on doing it on Instagram. Amazingly now she is connected with independent alphas who are also her role models like Rachel K Collier, Dressage Music, Andrew Huang, Laura Escude, Hark Madley, LNA, and many more incredible music producers across the world. Finally, all the hard work made her be the first female producer and one of the big influencers for the industry in her hometown Tomohon. Meanwhile, she currently working out her music to another level, and consistently do electronic music as her main thing. She also builds her Production House called “El Production House” to be a platform for everyone who wants to work out their music.
